The minister for health in South Africa recommended that the country’s HIV sufferers should consume lots of Garlic and Beetroot, great advice from the country’s health minister Ms. Manto Tshabalala-Msimang. I must agree that promoting a healthy lifestyle involving 5 pieces of fresh veg each day is one that I can definitely get behind. Too bad it won’t help the country’s 5.5 Million AIDS sufferers get meds that might actually help.

I find it staggering when only recently it became clear that President Bush may have fibbed, told a porky, lied even. But the funniest part about it is that this is making news. You see the Washington Post has an article that details the fact that there was considerable doubt over the connections between Al Qaeda and Sadam Hussein in the intelligence community. The considerable doubt over the connections was simply the fact that there were no connections to have any doubt over.
